FEATURED DOG

I was brought to the shelter because I loved my Family too much, particularly my Boys. I wanted to protect them from everybody who came to the door.
I'm a Good Dog, I really am. I'm about 5-1/2 People years old, spayed of course, and up on all my shots. I know my doggie basics such as Sit, Shake, Stay, and Down. I love to walk and do really well on a leash. I consider car rides the most wonderful Treat, and thoroughly enjoy a good romp followed by some quality Couch Time.
I am very very affectionate to family and people I know -- it's just strangers that I'm not sure of, particularly men. Once I get acquainted, they are my Friends, but when we first meet I am just SO afraid that they are going to hurt me or my family!
I guess I just need someone to to teach me when it is OK to protect and when it isn't. I've heard that there are special Dog Schools that will teach Dogs and their People "social skills" like where and how Dogs should wait when the door is opened for strangers, and how to get Dogs over being afraid. I've heard that these classes are SO much fun for both People and their Dogs!
I would love a Forever Family with lots of patience and Children who love dogs, and I think I would really enjoy going to Dog School to learn how not to be afraid.
Does that sound like YOUR family?
If it does, come to SCHS and ask to meet Sadie - ID# D11-10-523. I'm really anxious to go Home!
