Why We Charge Fees

SCHS is a private non-profit organization and is NOT funded by any tax dollars. The adoption, surrender, impound and cremation fees we charge you help us to....

• Feed the animals in our care
• Provide medications and medical care for injured and sick animals
• Pay our trained and professional staff a fair wage
• Provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for the animals until they are adopted
• Maintain the vehicles we use to pick up animals in need
• Pay our electric, gas, water, phone, Internet, trash collection, insurance and other operating expenses
• Heat our shelter in the winter and keep it cool in the summer
• Keep our grounds inviting and clean and provide play space for the animals while they stay here

Thank you for helping us help the homeless animals in our county by understanding our need to charge.

We ask you to support our fundraisers and donate when you can.

Prices for Dogs

Young - $150 + up + $45 (Rabies, Microchip, K9 Flu)

Adult - $130 + $45 (Rabies, Microchip, K9 Flu)

Senior - $75 + lower +$45 (Rabies, Microchip, K9 Flu)

* Prices do not include tax or license fee (varies by municapilty)

 

Prices for Cats

Young - $95 + $35 (Rabies and Microchip)

Adult - $80 + $35 (Rabies and Microchip)

Senior - $55 + $35 (Rabies and Microchip)
